Qualche anno fa un uomo è venuto al rifugio in cerca di aiuto per prendersi cura di alcuni cani di piccola taglia. Nel retro della sua auto c'era Carlotta, legata al pianale del camion, con gli occhi che sembravano chiedere silenziosamente di essere salvata. Carlotta sembrava semplicemente troppo magra e straziante. Il nostro collega, vedendo le sue condizioni, si mise a piangere e pregò l'uomo di liberare il cane. Lui acconsentì.
Con cibo e cure adeguate, Carlotta sbocciò nel rifugio.
​Con il tempo, è diventata più bella e ha preso peso. Carlotta è giovane, ha circa cinque anni. È ancora un po' timida (non fobica), ma è un aspetto su cui possiamo lavorare. Ha solo bisogno di un periodo di affido.

​A few years ago some man came to the shelter seeking help to care for a few small dogs. In the back of his car was Carlotta, tied to the truck bed, with eyes that seemed to silently ask for rescue. Carlotta looked simply too heart-wrenchingly thin. Our colleague, seeing her condition, started crying and begged the man to set the dog free. He agreed.
With good food and care Carlotta blossomed in the shelter.
​Over time, she grew more beautiful and gained weight. Carlotta is young, around five years old. She remains a little shy (not phobic), but that is something we can work on. She just needs a foster period.
