La storia di Mia è triste perché portata al rifugio un anno e mezzo fa. Nell estate del 2023 perché la famiglia non poteva più tenerla.è nata nel 2019 Aveva già problemi agli occhi e non vedeva bene. Non si faceva toccare. Sappiamo che ha vissuto su un balcone ed è stata trascurata.
I primi mesi di soggiorno al rifugio sono serviti a rassicurarla che era in un luogo protetto, anche se lei sentiva gli abbai degli altri cani, da ipo vedente era impaurita da questo abbaio. E preferiva conoscere il suo box e i compagni di convivenza.
Tendeva ad agitarsi  se provavamo a toccarla. È passato diverso tempo per farla uscire dal box in serenità. Poi ha fatto amicizia con una ragazza che viene la domenica e con lei gioca, si fa toccare.

Mia was brought to the shelter in the summer of 2023 after her family could no longer care for her. Born in 2019, Mia had already been dealing with eye problems that left her with poor vision. At first, she was very shy and wouldn’t let anyone touch her. We knew she had lived on a balcony, neglected and alone. The first few months at the shelter were crucial in helping her feel safe, though it wasn’t easy. As a visually impaired cat, she was easily frightened by the loud barking of the other dogs, which unsettled her. To cope, she focused on familiarizing herself with her stall and companions, gradually growing more comfortable in her new environment. Slowly, she began to trust that she was in a protected place.
Over time, Mia began to open up. She formed a special bond with a kind young girl who visits every Sunday. With her, Mia found comfort—she enjoys playing and allows herself to be touched, showing glimpses of the gentle, affectionate soul beneath her guarded exterior.
