TEO è nato con una malformazione alla zampa destra, che lo ha lasciato con solo tre arti funzionali. È stato trovato rannicchiato per strada, circondato da spettatori indifferenti, con una delle sue zampe rotte — probabilmente era stato investito o picchiato. Teo è stato salvato, ma i suoi occhi tradivano una paura profonda e il suo comportamento aggressivo era probabilmente il suo unico modo per proteggersi. Quando è arrivato in clinica, era gravemente sottopeso e anemico. Come se non bastasse, è risultato positivo alla leishmaniosi. Nonostante la sua paura e aggressività, probabilmente frutto dei traumi passati, Teo sta ricevendo le migliori cure possibili alla Clinica Falerna. Ha già ricevuto una trasfusione di sangue per stabilizzare la sua temperatura corporea (che era troppo bassa) e ora sta meglio. Non ringhia più e non trema più. Poiché sta ancora seguendo il trattamento (fasciature e analisi del sangue per monitorare la sua condizione), stiamo raccogliendo donazioni per coprire le spese per le sue cure. |

TEO was born with a malformation in his right paw, which has left him with only 3 functional limbs. He was found crouched in the street, surrounded by indifferent onlookers, with one of his remaining paws broken - probably he had been run over or beaten. Teo was rescued, but his eyes revealed deep fear and his aggressive behavior was probably his only way of protecting himself. When he arrived at the clinic, he was severely underweight and anemic. As if that weren't enough, he tested positive for leishmania. Despite his fear and aggression, likely a result of his past trauma, Teo is now receiving the best possible care at the Falerna Clinic. He has already undergone a blood transfusion to stabilize his body temperature (which was too low) and now feeling better. And he is not snarling and trembling any more. As he is still getting treatment (bandaging and blood tests to monitor his condition) we collect donations to cover Teo's treatment expenses. |
